Padres will trade:
Tolman, Mitchel $0.5m (P n/a)
to Orioles for:
Mazara, Normar $4m (2024)
Givens, Mychal $3m (2022)
Meadows, Parker $0.5m (P n/a)
Stowers, Kyle $0.5m (P n/a)

The Padres are taking a chance with this trade, but they believe it is worth it.  Although Nomar Mazara has been released a few times, the MLB Padres seem to think he can help them during the 2022 season and signed him to a minor league contract.  During this off-season, Mazara is doing well in the Mexican Leagues and hitting over .300 and he does have a history of hitting 20+ HRs.  If he doesn?t work out, the FGM Padres have plenty of cap to buy him out.  Kyle Stowers was in AAA last season and could be promoted to the MLB Orioles in 2022.  Parker Meadows, like Mazara, is a low risk/high reward player who might finally fulfill his potential.  Mychal Givens is a decent RP on an expiring contract and will help the Padres pitching staff.

None of these are guys I particularly like long-term other than Stowers even though Givens should produce some, so I clear out some space and hope I can get better players with the cap space.
