I'm not really sure what just happened but I somehow ended up with Matt Kemp lol. I think I'm ending up with a bigger cap hit but this reallocates the years and gives me DeSclafani. It's a bit of a gamble but I'm hopeful SF will get him straightened out. Sending out more MiLB to clear space, I think both will be MLB this year but I'm set at C for now.

Accept and what a deal!

We don't see 3 ways too often especially as big as this with whole bunch of moving parts but this ultimatley made sense for all 3.

I had a smaller deal with just DET where I was getting Desclafani but realized we missed on a 6/1 guy ineligible. Since SF also wanted Desclafani this worked it self out relatively easy. By rellocating him I get some specs with the 2 Cs in MLB already and even as backup will give me some production at the postion.

No idea if he plays again so moving Kemp's contract is a plus even by retainimg a little and taking on a few pieces I don't really want but they are cheap enough. I do take on Cabrera's long term contract instead but he is actually going to play and given I have 1B void he can hopefully be servicable.


For processing puproses will  keep all specs in minors and evaluate and move guys up at a later time.

Happy to add Acosta and other future assets even though I was looking forward to seeing what Desclafani might do in SF.
