Unless Jack Hughes can carry that Devils franchise on his back (Taylor Hall hasn't been able to so far), I think Kaapo Kakko landed in the better situation with the Rangers who are trying to accelerate their rebuilding efforts. Both teams need a true starting goalie to get over the rebuilding hump.

I really like what Carolina did in this draft with Suzuki, Rees, Puistola, Honka and Fensore. I had them all in my top 50 going in. I would say way to restock the cupboard, but the Cupboard has the Calder Cup.

Canes had a great draft. That Calder Cup is proof they're not far off from makibg a serious run at the Stanley Cup in the next couple of years.
