Cardinals make this trade to add some much needed depth in hopes of winning it all. After falling short last year I needed to add some pieces to solidify the roster in case of injury. It's a steep price to give up 2 top 100s but Calhoun is fairly blocked in LA and Tatis is a few years away so I'm confident I can replenish the system. After looking like we wouldn't be able to cash in on some of our vets, we finally strike! Calhoun and Tatis are both personal favorites of mine. The farm system here in the Big Apple is fairly barren and it will be a long road to begin the rebuilding process. Unlike real life "GM's", I am not afraid to use the r word. Acevedo will instantly become our top pitching prospect in a system that is devoid of pitching talent coming up the pipeline. Calhoun and Tatis instantly add credibility to this team and put this team on a defined, but measured path. I couldn't be more pleased.

Thank you Ryan for the easy talks and good luck contending. This was the team that beat me when I was the Tribe a few years ago in the FGM World Series. Maybe they can repeat as league champions.
