All placed on Irrevocable Outright Waivers; off of my 40 man-roster.

Just trying to create some space to be flexible this offseason.

Question Kenny, are these guys still owed 400K in the minors or does that salary go away when demoted off of the 40-man roster? Thanks.

If they are on your minor league team, they have to be paid their salary for the year that they are on the 40 man roster. If you keep them in the minors (assuming these players do not get claimed by others), they will not have a salary in 2012.

Note that the service time does not reset.

Wilhelmsen actually ended up being on my unconditional release list.
Roe to AAA Tacoma.
Medina to High A High Desert.
Paredes to AA Jackson.

I believe the players were at those places to start, I just was clearing them off the 40 man. Thanks Kenny.

Just to make sure, if someone would have put a waiver in for any of these players, we would have to put them on our 40 man roster correct?  We just can not put in a waiver for them and then put them in our minor league system.
