Arbitration rules have changed slightly. Having the increases at 100k and 200k per category, for skaters and goalies respectively, was far too much money owed to guys who were largely unproven. I therefore decreased this amount by half for each of the two positions.
I make this move in an attempt to keep this league simple. Spending an inordinate amount of time calculating these costs, as a manager, is too challenging. Further, as I stated above, the values were unrealistic. Guys who would be first year in the league automatically qualified for maximum increases, as 0 stats to anything would have given increases in almost every category (+/- the exception).
I hope this sits well with all, as budgets look to be very tight for some teams. And, those with large cap space have a good size of free agency to pick from. Teams will be reloading and power will be shifting. As an example, look at what has happened to the Washington Capitals. The Flyers will also be making moves to get under the cap. It will be a great summer here at Franchise NHL!
On another note, I am hiring for an Official Rosters Manager, this will be my second in line and my right hand man/woman. Please apply to me by PM and I will make a decision soon.
Lastly, We need more members. Teams are lacking strong leadership. If you know friends, and I know you do, who are looking to play serious leagues, this is the place, ProFSL. This particular league is ready to grow from 0, with a good membership and stronger leadership, towards an amazing league.
