I agree to trade I hate to lose Tomas  but I wanted to add another great starting pitcher to my team so i  had to do that i had to give up tomas. I'm a big fan of samardzija. I wasn't going to sign crisp after this year and i m getting 2 more specs in Austin and  foltyweicz both specs I see being very great in the future

Angels agree.  We have tons of SP depth and finally were able to move some for a batter.  We'll continue to add hitters while we wait on our SPs to develop.

I am not a fan of this trade.  The Indians are giving up a high end hitting prospect for yet another SP and paying $7.5m in 2015 to make the trade work.  With 9 SPs on the Cleveland roster, it doesn't make sense to me to see the Indians trading away 2 hitters for two more pitchers and a Yankee prospect who is at a bit of a crossroads in his career.

It's a great trade from the Angels perspective--hitters for pitchers.

My first inclination is to veto this trade because the Indians are giving away hitters, but given the Indians propensity to bid or trade for every conceivable pitcher in FGM, and the Angels stated objective of trading pitching for hitting, I will cast an approving vote.

I was on the fence with this trade.  I think money should be going with Samardzija on future years.  I don't think this is a good deal for Cleveland.  The only reason I will approve is I don't think Tomas is worth the hype either.  I'll approve but CLE should have done much better.

The only reason I made this trade when I sign him I thought he was going to pan out early. After I seen him play I felt like the amount of money he was getting it wasn't worth the risk . I probably didn't get enough for him but I  wanted to dump him as quick as possible.

Tomas was signed as a FA, right? I don't think he can be traded until 6/1 if thats the case.

Papps is correct.  Tomas can't be traded until June 1st.
