Thanks to Thunderbird for a straight-up positional trade. Silfverberg is promising but I'm happy to acquire Staal. I need a Center and Silfy fits nicely on the Leafs roster with dual wing eligibility. Murphy/Shore is more of the same.

Toronto confirms this trade. We acquire tons of potential, save on salary and balance out my lineup. Really like Jordan but he has stalled (no pun intended) offensively. Murphy is a up and comer but to get, you have to give. Thanks Slackjack for the deal.

Two teams making a deal to fill needs. I'll give the slight edge to Toronto, but if Carolina is a better team this year, then Staal could be a very nice pickup

Looks good for both teams. New owners = new opportunities for player movement.
Jake is a good young player who might or might not lose playing time with Dany Heatley's arrival. Jordan may or may not see a boost in production under a new head coach. Lots of good risk/reward going on in this deal.
