Rzep and Porcello are under contract through 2012, but Rzep's is much more friendly to a small market club.  Porcello could be a great one, but there is more of a track record in the minors to go with the southpaw that is Rzep.  Raburn is the player I originally inquired about.  He'll put up good numbers on average, and he should help out big time in the CI platoon that I see the Pirates having over the next two years.

The A's confirm this deal.  I really didn't want to give up either guy.  I love Raburn's versatility.  With Guillen, Mags, Inge in front of him, I think he could get a lot of playing time.  Rzep is very good for this league due to his K/9 and GB%.  I don't like that he pitches in the AL East and think his success could be because of the lack of scouting reports on him.

Now Porcello.  I think he will continue to improve, only 21 and the GB% that he has will continue.  His 4 pitch reportiore will begin to get better as he relies on other pitches than his fastball more.  His K/9 should increase as he begins to get batters off balance. 

Bottom line of this trade is that I love the idea of having a rotation of Josh Johnson, Brett Anderson, Rick Porcello, and Liriano (bounceback) until 2012.
