Press Conference: New Mets GM

Hello evreyone, I am the new, New York Mets GM.
My plan of actions is to try and compete for the year 2013, which is the ETA for Bryce Harper.
I do not at the moment have people who will let me compete, as my best player is Chris Carpenter.
I will want to trade him for a top raw prospect, and try and get as many young players as I can, considering I will not be able to win this year, and most likely the next.
Any suggestions on what else I should do, I'm open for anything.

Luke, that sounds like an honest plan that we can all appreciate.  You do have some cap room to work with though.   Please post any questions that you may have.  I suggest posting a trade block as well.
