My suggestion was players that have been tagged as RFA's can be traded, but the receiving team must extend their contract right away (lose the RFA).  Others suggested the player could remain tagged as an RFA.  I would not stand in the way of either option.

Does anyone know how RFA's work in MLB if they are traded?  Or are MLB players not designated RFA's until they decide to accept an offer from another team?

I have no clue, but I support RFA's being traded as long as the new team signs the player.

What do you mean right away, an extention? So that player would not go through the FA market...

The RFA would have to be signed to an extension.  I think this discussion is leaning towards not allowing the actual tags to be traded, but the tagged players to be traded.

I think thats the way to go, they must be signed right away, not going through the FA market. and that team would also loose there RFA tag! I confirm!

Agreed, the RFA tag was already expended on that player by the other team.
