For sure. We want motivated people in this sandbox. We're soon going to be 32 teams deep and we don't want anyone letting a franchise slide to the point of no return in FNHL. We want gents to step up and fight for the pot of gold at the end of the FNHL rainbow. :taco::winner::win::money:

PR and I have a good sense of whats needed and will be talking to the 5-6 interested parties who want to pay to play in this big o'sandbox.
:iatp::iatp::iatp::winner: If you guys decide on an existing owner, let's make sure they release their current team for new ownership to join our exclusive club of FNHL's finest! :toast:

D - Quintin Hughes (SDP 2019: 2018: 1/7 - 73 Games)  Updated Sep28/20
C - Nick Robertson (2019: 2/53 - 0 Games)
Round 2 - 2020  :DET-NHL:
SDP Round 2 - 2021 :DET-NHL:

Thanks to Mordecai and Montreal for sending my favourite player Morgan Rielly to Hockeytown. He hits, blocks, shoots and scores. Been following Rielly since his days in Moose Jaw of the WHL. He'll be the centrepiece of our retooling in Detroit. Montreal to confirm.
:iatp: Habs agree. We got approached by the Wings about Morgan's availability. If we had known that Wundermaan was a Rielly fan, we would've asked for a 1st as well. We felt it was fair compensation to move Rielly who's only 26yo and about the hit the prime of his career with a core of Buds around him to rack up huge points across the board. GL to Wundermaan and his Wings.

Not FNHL related but figure there are plenty of veterans of this site in this league.
Anyone know anything about that new league Profsl Dynasty Hky or the commissioners WestCoastExpress and Vik?
Seems interesting to get into a start up like getting Seattle here.
If there's anything I've learned from my 3 years on this site is that FNHL is the best run league hands down. Looks like a pair of guys who prefer the gridiron and diamond. Blkhwkfn appears to be in one of their basketball leagues and might have some feedback via PM.

Ideally we bring in new blood either as owner of Seattle or an existing owner sells their team before being allowed to buy expansion Seattle Kraken.
Endgame gave a good example of letting go of Anaheim before taking over Seattle if he's chosen to run the Kraken.
I think the goal is to invite the best hockey people around.

Don't get me wrong, I think we have a great group of owners in FNHL (I'm actually shocked I haven't sniffed a trace of drama in FNHL. Definitely rare and welcome in fantasy sports). But we want new playmates in this sandbox don't we?

16
I barely have time for one team. Don't know how you guys who have a couple of teams manage. :winner:
Oh wait, I take it back, we probably have the most fantasy hockey addicts of any league on this site right Blkhwkfn and Godzilla.:rofl::rofl:

:MON-NHL: has a ton to lose because of this initiative so good for you Morty for initiating this discussion!!!

Making the league better means we all enjoy a better fantasy hockey experience. :judge::winner::toast:
:iatp: Thanks man. If I'm going to invest my time here, this league might as well be the best damn league it possibly can be for all of us and longterm.

I have a question, did Marc Bergevin of the Montreal Canadiens get fleeced by Columbus on the Domi/Anderson trade?

I mean, the knuckle head gave away Max Domi AND a 3rd round pick for a guy that scored all of 4 points this year!??? HAHAHAHA

NHL Montreal should fire Marc before he gives away the talents non-French players in Montreal.

Perhaps consider rolling back the 2021-22 salary cap to below 81.5 million, even below $78.0 million.

WHY?

With FNHL adding the Seattle Kraken for the 2021-22 season, the 32nd team will absorb lots of existing salary.

My understanding is the skater increases this year were to a) keep value current with actual NHL player contracts and b) create the necessary cap tension in this league to allow for a more robust Free Agency annually.

So I think it would be good for our league (FNHL) to reduce, not just maintain the salary cap ceiling if we want to create some proper player movement and incent owners toward making more transactions.

Full disclosure, my Habs are going to easily need WAY MORE cap space starting now through next year so this recommendation does NOT benefit my team at all - in fact it will negatively impact my Habs.
Hope everyone's seeing the value of this upcoming cap ceiling rollback.

FNHL free agency this year is looking bleak. That means the rich stay rich and the poor stay put in the league cellar. A polarized league is not exiting long term.

We all want to see teams able to rebuild on the fly and top teams feel the financial pressure of keeping their top players year over year. And more importantly, we want strong league wide competition for the big prize year after year. :win::win::win:

  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

  • Jwalkerjr88: Trading isnt easy. But neither is winning

  • Jwalkerjr88: If you made a list of the most aggressive gms to have stepped foot in nfl live, you will notice the champions will be among them

  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Yesterday at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.

  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • BayAreaBallers: although my last draft class and fa class kinda lead me to a run so it can happen

  • Brent: Yeah, it does help to have a big draft class and available cap.

  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.

  • Brent: postured

  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did
    Yesterday at 03:13:02 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Yesterday at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide

  • BayAreaBallers: very good pt yes i did gain lot of capital which propelled me to make more moves from that trade
    Yesterday at 03:34:25 PM
  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.

  • Daddy: Whoever it was, he got six more choices on top of that. The "win win" scenario.
