FYI, four games left in the night to decide the playoffs, but it appears that the Indians and Twins are tied in the division.  Tiebreaker is decided by combined standings.  Also, the Marlins are currently two points off of the Braves for the wildcard.

Playoff races are set... first round is from today to the 19th!  To see how your team does, go to the standings and look for the stats between the 13th and 19th of September.  I will post the results here on the forum!

Yankees vs. Twins
Angels vs. Red Sox

Phillies vs. Dodgers
Brewers vs. Marlins

The Twins took back the division by tying it up, but they are ahead in the combined standings.  The Marlins pulled ahead of the Braves in the final minutes of all of the games last night!  Congrats GMs!!!!

After Day 1/7...

TEAM - FLD%  - OPS  - RC - SO/BB  - WHIP - SCORE
New York Yankees  - 1 - 1.219 - 11.8 - 0.5 - 1.25 - 7
Minnesota Twins  - 1 - 1.242 - 7.3 - 2.33 - 1.5 - 5

Boston Red Sox  - 1 - 0.937 - 7 - 2.5 - 0.82 - 12
Los Angeles Angels  - 0.944 - 0.686 - 2.4 - 1 - 1 - 0

Philadelphia Phillies  - 1 - 0.615 - 4.5 - 99.99 - 2 - 9
Los Angeles Dodgers  - 0.97 - 0.592 - 2 - 4.5 - 1.54 - 3

Florida Marlins  - 0.958 - 1 - 4.6 - 1.2 - 2.33 - 4
Milwaukee Brewers  - 1 - 0.753 - 2.5 - 4 - 0.89 - 8

Twins-Yankees series is already lighting it up...  Red Sox pummel the Angels in the first "game"...  Jorge's fish hope to stay alive against the red-hot Brew Crew... and the Phillies put up consistent, not flashy, numbers to continue their winning ways from last year.

I am thinking Yankees, Angels, Phillies, and Brewers will all move on to the ALCS / NLCS.

Thanks! Here is how the playoffs are shaping up mid-way through the week.

TEAM - FLD%  - OPS  - RC - SO/BB  - WHIP - SCORE
New York Yankees  - 1 - 1.119 - 26.8 - 0.88 - 1.35 - 8
Minnesota Twins  - 1 - 1 - 15.2 - 2.43 - 1.36 - 4

Boston Red Sox  - 1 - 0.88 - 11.5 - 2.83 - 0.83 - 12
Los Angeles Angels  - 0.969 - 0.677 - 9.2 - 2.8 - 1.32 - 0

Philadelphia Phillies  - 1 - 0.729 - 9.6 - 99.99 - 2 - 6
Los Angeles Dodgers  - 0.982 - 0.716 - 10.8 - 3.2 - 1.26 - 6

Florida Marlins  - 0.97 - 0.95 - 11.8 - 1.75 - 2.09 - 4
Milwaukee Brewers  - 0.973 - 0.67 - 7 - 2.31 - 1.28 - 8

The real-life Red Sox have been on a tear as of the last four games which is helping Eric surprisingly shutout the Angels thus far.  The AL bouts are all about the AL East pummeling its opponents whereas the NL has the tight matchups.  The Phillies will need  to pick up their innings to actually win the pitching categories though.

What are the tie-breakers during the playoffs?  Is it still based on which team is leading in the Combined Standings?

What are the weekly requirements for AB/IP?

  • Daddy: Yeah so about that. One team get first pick in the expansion draft. The other gets first pick in the amateur draft.

  • Daddy: Whomever guesses closer to the number gets the 1st overall pick in the amateur draft. The other picks first in expansion.

  • Daddy: Best get to building it.
  • Daddy: Honestly idk why the NBA doesn't do it that way for expanding. Two teams at a time. Expansion draft to amateur draft. I think the idea is fresh and its execution will be pretty dope. ;)
  • jimw: I think the NBA goes one team at a time to give the one team a better talent pool in the expansion draft and also to keep the teams from complaining about losing more players
    Today at 01:25:47 AM
  • Daddy: Thats fair
  • BayAreaBallers: that makes sense
  • Daddy: I mean they only losing one guy anyway tho. We expose 10 players, protect 5 players, each team, all 30 will lose one player.
  • Daddy: The expansion teams will then both have 15 players heading into the amateur draft with picks #1 & #2.
  • Daddy: Each other team will still have 14 players and one first round pick.
  • Daddy: They need to hire me is what they need to do
  • Daddy: Yeah you lose a guy to the expansion draft. Likely your 6th man. Then the very next day you draft his replacement and keep it moving.
  • STLBlues91: Daddy quick question in your messages
    Today at 01:44:14 AM
  • Daddy: We are good to go.:toth:
  • jimw: I think in the Bobcat expansion each team could protect 8 players. And I think the bobcats has to take at least 14 so half the league didn't even lose a player.
  • jimw: That was a long time ago though
