The 2013 Franchise NHL Entry Draft (4 Rounds) will begin at 0h01 ET on Wednesday September 4, 2013.

The 2013 FNHL Entry Draft thread is already posted and updated on the FNHL Transaction Page LINK

SEPTEMBER DRAFT DATE
This is later than in past years.

Given I'll be away in the middle of the Summer several times (and so will a number of ppl I've chatted with) this makes more sense.

In addition, prospect camps will have already been completed in July-August while NHL training camps will have just started and FNHL teams may have more insight on the skill level of various draft eligible prospects.

COMMENTS
The Entry Draft is a key part of this ultra deep league. Draft picks are key to developing a team's farm system and potential star players that are less expensive than Free Agents for teams that draft properly or are lucky enough to find the draft gems!

This later start date will also help as it will not conflict with FNHL's Free Agency period which will also be pushed back to early August essentially giving Franchise NHL a 2-month Summer break.

FYI, general 2013 NHL Entry Draft info can be found here on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_NHL_Entry_Draft ... it'll be held in Newark NJ on June 30th so that gives us 2-months to plan our prospect draftee list.
