Senators and Sharks Trade

[dickiedunn]

Ottawa Senators management announce a deal with San Jose. Zack Smith comes home to Ottawa!

Traded to Ottawa
Zack Smith, $3.5m (2014-2015)

Traded to San Jose
Matt Greene, $0.2m (2013-2014)
John-Michael Liles, $3.5m (2014-2015)
Round 4 - 2013 :OTT:

We were still looking for help at Center so bundling up two of our 12 defensemen won't alter our team too much. At the same time Greene and Liles are fantastic fantasy players to rebuild with for SJ. The draft pick we are sending sweetens the pot.

Thanks for the smooth trade talks BB! :toast:

:iatp: Sharks make out like a bandit here. But it's almost the playoffs so I can see why the Sens make this deal.

:SJ: wins this trade by a slight edge.
