Nationals/Yankees Trade

[lp815]

The Nationals and Yankees have agreed to the following:

Nationals receive:
MI Amarista, Alexi , $0.5m (P-n/a)

Yankees receive:
OF Guillen, Jose, $12m (2010)
X-OF Guillen, Jose, Cash from KC, $-7m in 2010
9-5 WAS

Amarista is a personal favorite of mine, and Guillen was probably not going to be resigned by the Nationals.  Trading now for later.  Yankees to confirm, thanks C-Ram.

Filling a hole left by the Torri Hunter, is the Jose Guillen. Guillen doesnt bring the full body of work that HUnter brings, but comes in as a rental. A chance to be resigned but more just a filler for hunter.

We thank the Nats for doing business.
