Sharks and Wings make a deal

[Burkes Boys]

Detroit and my Sharks made this trade as they were going to release their players outright. They were looking to clear cap space to rebuild via free agency. So we gave up a depth player on Defense in Butler and a gritty Winger with a tiny cap hit in Colton and to make the trade happen we sadly had to deal away stud prospect Rundblad who should be very good and some say as good if not better than Erik Karlsson and Oliver Ekman-Larsson. We'll see but that is the reason I traded for him middle of last season.

To Wings
Colton Gillies, $0.4m (2013-2014) LW
Chris Butler, $1.2m (2012-2013) D
D - David Rundblad, N/C, (30 Games) MiLR

To Sharks
Jakub Kindl, $1.2m (P-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012 D
Raffi Torres, $0.8m (2011-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012 LW
Todd Bertuzzi, $1.9m (2011-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012 RW

DET to confirm this trade.
Let's hope our new players take our teams to the promiseland  :toast:

...pending :DET-NHL: confirmation still as the deadline approaches.

i'd like to hear what :DET-NHL: has to say.

:DET-NHL: also confirmed to me via PM.
i believe this is fine given both teams were looking to eliminate problems with their roster and get something in return. :SJ: were over the roster limit. :DET-NHL: was going to release his players. Both teams got something they wanted.
