Yanks/Nats

[OUDAN]

:NYY: is pleased to announce our latest deal. We would like to say this was the easiest deal ever! I asked Jake about a guy he said it will take this and I accepted. Jake thanks for the amazingly easy negotiations. GL to u this season

In this deal :NYY: sends
CI-OF Lee, Carlos, $6m (2013)
X-CI-OF Lee, Carlos, Cash exchanged on Contract 2012, $-5m in 2012
X-CI-OF Lee, Carlos, Cash exchanged on Contract 2013, $-0.5m in 2012,$-4m in 2013
CI-OF Morse, Mike, $1.5m (2013)
to :WAS: in return for
OF Cabrera, Melky, $1.5m (2012)

:NYY: is thrilled to have Melky back in the Bronx! We welcome him with open arms. We do move two very quality guys to get him and will have to pay him some unreal number. However we feel this gets us very close to winning the division!

[Jake]

Nationals approve. I wouldn't be comfortable paying Melky's extension (currently $17m per season), so I'm able to replace him and land an extra OF.

Thanks again Dan.

I think the Nats sold way too low on Melky.  But...  :iatp:
