Orioles - Braves MEGA Deal

[OriolesGirl]

:BAL: to :ATL:
SP Romero, Ricky, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Jackson, Austin, $0.5m (P-2013)
C Norris, Derek, $0.5m (P-n/a)
BAL 2-12
BAL 4-5

:ATL: to :BAL:
C Jaso, John, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI-MI Kennedy, Adam, $0.5m (2011)
OF Reddick, Josh, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Bourjos, Peter, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Crow, Aaron, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Westbrook, Jake, $0.5m (2011)
RP Perry, Ryan, $0.5m (P-2012)
ATL 1-25

My team needs help and I look at this deal in this light...

Romero is traded for veteran SP Westbrook, top prospect Crow, and young MLB prospecting closer Perry

Jackson is traded for two AAA OF.

Norris is traded away because Flowers is my C of the future.  Jaso steps in to fill the void at the MLB level.

Thrown in the deal is MLB support for my infield as well as a 1st round pick.

Upon approval, I will be dropping:
CI Hoffpauir, Micah, $0.5m (P-2012)
CI De Jesus, Jharmidy, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Naylor, Drew, $0.5m (P-n/a)
C Anderson, Bryan, $0.5m (P-n/a)

I confirm. I get two very good young MLBers who will be on a cheap contract for awhile. Ricky Romero and Austin Jackson replace Brett Anderson and Drew Stubbs who left in the Dunn deal.  My farm takes a pretty big hit here, but I have a lot of young talent already at the MLB level and I held onto my top prospects: Alonso, Freeman, and Frazier. I do cut a little cap here and open up a couple roster spots.

Some major rearranging for next year.  Looks fine.

Looks good for both sides :iatp:

Damn, I wouldn't have traded Norris, Romero or Jackson alone for that garbage (draft picks cancelling out)...

Good deal Braves, if you wanna flip on Norris, send me a message.

Don't want to hijack this thread but MTK can you email me, I can't reply to messages while at work (IE issue)

What a haul for the Braves... I can see Howe's point but the trade does fill a lot for the O's, gives them a couple top prospects and a top draft pick.

[Mr.TradeKing]

Dan & Colby, this trade is waiting to be processed on Fantrax.
