Royals/A's Deal

[Needle Juice]

Another deal that is not eligible until June 1.  Royals to confirm.

Royals receive
MI/CI Adam Rosales, $0.5m (2011)
OF Angel Morales, $0.5m (P,n/a)

A's receive
CI Alex Gordon, $0.5m (2011)
Draft pick 7-10

Rosales is a good versatile player with a good contract and decent bat.  Morales is a very good OF prospect for the Twins, potential 5tool guy with power.

Bottom line, I still believe in Gordon.  He is hitting well in AAA and is a good OBP guy. He could still turn out to be a good post hype guy.  The draft pick will help fill in the EDR.

Good deal for both.

Rob do you want to forward me and Colby the PM that agrees to this trade so we can get it processed?

[Dan Wood]

The A's GM has sent me the PMs of he and the Royals GM agreeing to this deal. I give permission to the TC to do their thang.

Low value fringe major leaguers being traded means this deal could pan out gold for one of these squads.

Notice that Adam and Angel have juxtapose versions of their last names:

Rosales
Morales

Hey all I was supposed to pay $0.5 m toward Rosales for 2010.  I will drop Badenhop to afford this.
