Athletics/Brewers trade 7/14/26 4:48P

[Bailey321]

Athletics are sending Mackenzie Gore $12m 2030 and Brandon Lockridge $0.5m 2027

to

the Brewers for Sencer Torkelson $4m 2029 and Trevor Story $8m 2026

i really like this trade for me to bolster my Ci position for the future with Torkelson and getting story from the brewers so they can take Gores full contract, thanks to dean for the talks

[NippyJones]

The Brewers confirm the trade with the A's. It's tough to give up talent in Torkelson but my SP has been ravaged by injuries and CI is one position where I have some depth. As for Story and Lockridge they are both on the IL with expiring contracts and Story needed to be moved by me to stay under the cap. Thanks to Bailey for a great trade discussion.

There is a game tonight but none of these are involved. No edge to either team so I used the off-season rule.
Happy All-Star break
