Phillies/Red Sox Trade 6/23/26 1:00P

[chudz]

Red Sox receive RP Garrett Whitlock ($4M - 2029)

Phillies receive C Logan O'Hoppe ($0.5 - PC 2027)

Phillies trade away a valuable piece of our bullpen to acquire a needed 2nd catcher to pair with Victor Caratini for the next two seasons.  Trade also  frees up some cap room for some salary flexibility this season and next.  Good luck on the rebuild in Boston.

I agreed to this trade to add a quality reliever in Whitlock

Boston really needs To do better on his confirmations please.

I'll approve

I don?t approve this one, I don?t see the value here especially for Boston. A top 10 team acquiring a young player that?s shown great potential should cost a little more then one reliever.
