[DaveW]

Nationals receive:

Freddie Freeman 1B LAD $20MM(2027)
NYM pays down $17MM of Freeman's 2026 and 2027 salaries
Jackson Kent SP WAS prospect

Mets receive:

Ryan Waldschmidt OF ARZ prospect
Moises Ballesteros UT CHC prospect (P-N/A contract w/20 games played)
Jordan Lawlar MI ARZ prospect (P-N/A contract w/20 games played)
Braden Nett SP ATH prospect
Johan Oviedo SP BOS $1MM(2027)

Nationals approve.  A huge price to give up for Freeman but I feel like I'm finally set up well to compete and this fills a huge gap at corner infield.  Thanks and good luck @Madmax02 !
