Trade: Dodgers and Orioles

[Shannonlwalker2]

Dodgers send:
SP Jordan Wicks ARB 1
RP Andre Granillo (spec)
2026 CLE 9th and 10th rd picks

Baltimore sends:
SP/RP Javier Assad ARB 2
OF Victor Labrada (spec)

Dodgers make the move to add a slightly more established pitcher in Assad.  He's set to make another rehab start against AAA Indianapolis tomorrow, hopefully he can get back in time to add something for the final couple weeks and playoffs.   Labrada is something of a lotto pick.   Interesting kid with good bat to ball skills and ++speed.

Thanks to Baltimore for reaching out and good luck with the rebuild.

O's accept.

I'm a fan of tall lefties with good changeups. Wicks had a rough start, but this year the underlying numbers, velo spike, mechanics adjustment and pitch mix work has him on my radar again.  Assad is decent I just prefer Wicks' profile. Labrada is a fun spec but I'm deep in the OF with guys I like.

Thanks to LAD for the trade and negotiations.
