Padres/Marlins Trade

[unrungbell]

Padres send:
Craig Kimbrel RP TEX $2,500,000(2025)
Jagger Haynes P SD - prospect

Marlins send:
Daniel Schneemann 2B CLE - $4,000,000(2028)

Was looking to clear up some cap space for potential call ups and dealt Schneeman from a position(s) of depth.  Right now Kimbrel is dead money but maybe will get a shot later which will help my heavily injured pitching staff.  I've liked Haynes for a bit now, even if though he's not moving the needle as much anymore his slider and changeup will play no matter what role he ends up in.

Thanks to the Padres for the easy  negotiations

Doing this to gain a more infield versatility and a player we like. Nice easy talks with Marlins
