Orioles / Phillies Trade

[Benw]

Orioles Send:
Justin Verlander SP SF ($10M - 2026)
+ $4M of Verlander's 2026 salary

Phillies Send:
Marco Raya SP MIN (pc)
Forrest Whitley RP HOU (pc)

Orioles confirm this trade. Happy to offload $16M of Verlander's remaining salary to pick up a couple of young arms with some upside especially after a couple SP adds in free agency

Phillies confirm trade with the Orioles. We have been looking to add starting pitching and hope to squeeze a couple more years out of Justin Verlander.  Thanks for the good trade talks and Benw and helping get this deal done by being flexible with Verlander's 2026 contract dollars.
