Contract Audit

We are realizing now that many contracts have 1 extra year than they should and are performing an audit to correct them.  This will occur over the next week.

Just want it known that some of your contracts may lose a year during this audit which may affect your valuation on them.

This audit is complete.  Many contracts lost 1 year.  We realized the source of this problem was that some contract end dates were obtained from the FREE AGENT YEAR column on Spotrac instead of the CONTRACT END column.

Again - apologies for the error.  Teams with more MLB contracts were most affected (vs teams with more service time contracts).  I don't think any of these updates were detrimental to player value.  I lost a year on 3 contracts that I traded for (Yandy, Bichette and Glasnow), but I still would have made those trades regardless.  At the same time, some larger contracts getting reduced by a year should be a boon for these franchises.
