Nationals/Guardians Trade

[DaveW]

Nationals trade:

Brandon Young SP BAL prospect
Matthew Etzel OF TB prospect

Guardians trade:

Mike Tauchman OF CHW 0.5 2025
Mitchell Parker SP WAS P-N/A

Nationals approve.  I'm in the market for OF depth and Tauchman fits my needs, though he's probably a one-year rental given his age.  I've got a bunch of pitching injuries, most recently losing Braxton Garrett for the 2025 season, so adding Parker is helpful.  Don't like losing two high-minors prospects but worth it to make me more competitive in 2025.  Thanks for the trade talks and good luck @Brian !

Guardians agree to trade. Hard losing parker but I get 2 young prospects I feel can be great additions to my team. I feel both prospects could help my team by late 2025 or 2026. I already have Burns in the minors he could move through the minors quickly and know adding Brandon Young will alie me to have a number 1 and number 2 filled for a long time.
