A couple of off-season notes...
IR Moves
We seem to have issues with this each year, so just to reiterate the rules regarding the 60 day IR:

• Only players on the 60 day IR are allowed to be placed on the IR
• The IR is only available during the season.  Teams usually begin placing players on the iR a week after spring training begins.  All players must be removed and placed back on the active roster 1 week from the end of the season
• A transaction post must be made to place or remove a player from the IR.  Once that post has been made the GM can make the change
• Violations of this policy can include a loss of point accumulated up to a loss of the player himself

Rules Changes
Several people have expressed a desire to see different rules changes.  If you ever have a desire to see a rules change, please feel free to post it on the main board with the title: RULES CHANGE PROPOSAL - (proposal).  All are welcome to enter into a discussion as whether they support the proposal or not and any thoughts they have about the proposal.  If there is enough support, I am happy to put the proposal to a vote.  Proposals pass if they garner a majority of GMs approval.

This said, I will be posting multiple proposals for discussion.  Feel free to have a discussion and once the proposal has been up for a sufficient time, I will place these up for a vote.  This process will take place during the draft.  The proposal for vote will have the exact rule wording and a specific start time.  I will leave these proposals up for vote for two weeks.

Please vote on these proposals when posted.  In the past, we have had a rules committee.  This was abandoned a while back and now all GMs are responsible for voting.  This is a required part of participation in the league. 

Amateur Draft
The draft normally takes place starting on November 1.  I am behind in some things for school, so I am trying to catch up and will not be able to turn my attentions to this until then, so I am going to push the draft back to November 15, unless anyone has staunch objections.  Hopefully, this will allow me to get GMs for the vacant teams, the spreadsheet rolled over, etc.

Activity
I have had some concerns about certain types of activity here at FGM.  While I don't want this to detract from life, it is important to the league to have an active league.  I am always open to hearing from you all what would make this a better place to play for you all, while still maintaining the character of the league.  If you all have suggestions, please let me know.  These don't necessarily mean rules changes.  I have had a request to use Fantrax more.
