REOPENS
NBA League Year exact every year. When NBA business opens our business opens.
All Draft Picks (current & next season) are eligible to be traded at that time.

SCORING
It's 15 on 15 basketball.

PG > SG > SF > PF > C > Flex [all x2] w/ 3 bench players

Scoring formula is multifaceted geared towards rewarding game defining plays while scoring every aspect of actual on court basketball

All division winners make the playoffs. All last place division teams are in the 8 team lottery. All 2's will play all 3's in the same division in the "play in" to determine the final 8 spots.
After the "play in" each conference is seeded by record 1 thru 8 and reseeded after each round highest remaining vs lowest etc. Until just 2 teams are left standing and eventual Champion crowned.

FA CONTRACT TERMS
5yr deal must be at least $10m AAV
4yr deal must be at least $5.5m AAV
3yr deal must be at least $1m AAV
ALL DENOMINATIONS can be 1 or 2 years.
You can exceed next years cap during the off-season[/b].
All teams must be cap compliant by 10/1/start of season.
Further Explanation:
NBA LIVE teams have a cap ceiling that fluctuates with the actual NFL's cap every year. This is not fully identified until the next NBA League year begins.

Teams can be $50m over the cap or any denomination during the off-season however by 10/1 (start of NBA LIVE FA) if your team is over the cap the league will cut players for you until you are not. [Addressed in the penalty section further down the handbook]
Moving of cap hits, funds, cash, any form of currency movement or manipulation is not allowed.

RESIGN VALUE AAV https://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=4272.0 [click link for values]
The last year of Player Contracts are designated red colored because a player will refuse negotiating on the last year and opt for FA.
Players must be extended with 2 years remaining to avoid FA.
Extension values are based on the highest ranking of the last season with accrued statistics including the current season.

ONCE ANY NEW SEASON BEGINS FROM WEEK 1, A PLAYERS RESIGN IS THE HIGHEST RANKING INCLUDING CURRENT SEASON OR LAST SEASON.
Only contracts in the second to last year are eligible to be extended.
Contracts that expire have no off-season grace period. Expired contracts become Unrestricted FA. Players opt out of allowed to enter the final season without sn extension.
*The deadline to resign contracts is the end of the actual NBA Finals.
If extended we will drop the red year and the extension money kicks in the next season. The Red Season is then replaced and a new Red Season is added to the end of the extension year.

RESIGN VALUES AAV (PER YEAR)
All resigns are negotiated based off ranking with the player association representatives located on this link.
https://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=4272.0
Only overall player rankings count. Only last season or current/last season rankings apply however due to injury players who played less than 41 games are defaulted to the previous highest ranking above 41 games.
Example below
(If Embiid tears his ACL during a contract year and played just 3 games you dont get to resign him for $500k you go to the next previous year where 41 games have been played.)

"PC" can be bid on any player that is a FA with less than 82 games played & carries a $500k cap hit. These bids when valid are awarded immediately.

Prospect Contract remains P-n/a until 82nd game played then becomes 2 yrs $500k

Fantrax:
The league will fix & optimize rosters on fantrax when needed. Failure to maximize your own roster can lead to anything from cap penalties to replacing you as a GM.

The league wants you to run your teams operations. Every aspect. If we have to do it for you, we should both consider other options.
