Draft picks 2027

The draft completed, therefore you are now allowed to trade draft picks 2027.

Please remind however that the Stepien Rule came into place.
A team cannot be without a own first round pick for more than two consecutive years. Basically, at any given time, a team must have at least 1 own first round pick in the next 3 drafts.

The immediate impact of this rule is on the following picks that cannot be traded unless the respective team re-acquires a own first round pick in 2025 or 2026:
- ATL first 2027
- BOS first 2027
- LAL first 2027
- OKC first 2027
- PHI first 2027
- SAC first 2027

We received a proposal to implement the actual version of the Stepien Rule instead of the version described above.

These are the two available options:

- YOUR OWN FIRSTS RULE.
Maintain at least one of YOUR OWN first-round picks in any given three-year period. You must use one of YOUR OWN first-round selections at least once every three years.

- STEPIEN RULE.
Always retain at least one first-round pick, regardless of team, every 2 years. You must use ANY first-round pick at least once every two years. If this rule is adopted, teams without 2025 or 2026 first-round picks wouldn't be required to acquire one for those years, but they must hold at least one first-round pick in 2027.
