:BOS: sends:

SP Eduardo Rodriguez $6.0M 2025

to :STL: for:

MI Luis Urias $4M 2027

SP River Ryan pna

OF Dylan Beavers pna

Red Sox make this trade to try and get something back for Rodriguez, who was apart of our full throttle plan that didn't quite pan out. Ryan and Beavers help our long-term outlook. Cardinals to confirm, thanks @RyanJames5

:STL: confirms.

I'm a big fan of River Ryan, if he gets healthy he could be a TOR arm and as an :BAL: fan, I think Beavers has the ability to be a starting OF, albeit not likely in :BAL:, but being able to swap Urias's bad contract for an arm in Eduardo Rodriguez that should be able to give me solid innings down the stretch just made too much sense not to pull the trigger.  Thanks @jmntl82 and good luck!

@RyanJames5 (and everyone really)

Please keep in mind that when a corresponding move occurs as part of a trade - here, E-Rod was on BOS's IL before the trade but was not moved to STL's IL after the trade - that move needs to be recorded as a follow-on post, or a separate transaction thread.

Thanks
