Rockies/Reds Trade

[DaveW]

Reds trade:

Brandon Nimmo CF/OF NYM $7.9MM 2025
Jake Burger 1B/3B MIA P-2025

Rockies trade:

Jansel Luis 2B ARZ prospect
Cade Povich SP BAL prospect
Alejandro Rosario SP TEX prospect
Justice Bigbie 3B DET prospect
Eric Lauer SP MIL $2.7MM 2024
Brooks Raley RP NYM $2.0MM 2025

Rockies approve.  Nimmo has been off to a sluggish start but his track record is very strong, and hoping that Burger gets back to his 2022-2023 form now that he's healthy.  Have to give up lots of prospect value to get them but will restock the farm through the draft and FA.  Trading Lauer and Raley to clear roster spots and move a little bit of salary.  Good luck @jmntl82 !

Reds confirm, I did a state of the farm evaluation for the Reds and it wasn't pretty. That being said, reinforcements are on the way. Lauer and Raley are a couple of veteran arm rehab projects that could help us possibly in the future. Thanks @DaveW
