Pens and Cats deal goalies and prospects

[jackdaniels]

I asked for cash too but PR wouldn't send any over.

Traded to Pens
Jacob Markstrom, $0.9m (2013-2014)
Dwayne Roloson, $3.3m (2013-2014)
T. J. Brodie, $0.3m (2012-2013)
Nick Bjugstad, N/C, (0 Games) I'll take Nick. I like him more than Khokkie.

Traded to Cats
Brent Johnson, $0.6m (2011-2012)
Marc-Andre Fleury, $5.0m (2014-2015)
Round 1 - 2012

For trade committee's approval.

I like the direction of the real Panthers franchise and think Markstrom is the best goalie prospect ready for full-time duty and will be amazing when he joins the team and starts regularly. He's also dirt cheap at $0.9m over the next 3 years. Rollie will help me the rest of the year. Bjugstad could be another Jordan Staal. There's also a little cap space to be gained for my Pens.

Thanks PR!  :toast:

happy to address my goaltending situation for this season. hope MAF does NOT go down like latendresse (concussion again! it's like ottawa had a crystal ball. ugh!) seconds after this deal is bless by 3 wise men.  :rool:

i think it's a balanced deal right now and a clear win for the penguins in the future. they get a starter type goalie (in a slump) on a good hockey team in tampa bay and add a killer goalie in markstrom. i had to offer up markstrom to get the deal done.

no body's untouchable. you just have to bug the other manager til they agree to trade with you. lol

this deal needs 1 more TC Yes vote (or 3 vetoes) to finalize it.
