2018-19 FNHL Predictions?

I just checked in to see if my old Habs held onto Binnington long enough to see him finally break through..... nope...

I enjoy reading the commentary from the former Montreal GM! League's not the same without ya Snug.

In fairness though and coming from a Blues Fan, Binnington had pretty much played himself out of their long term plans and his NHL prospects looked bleak. He revived his career last year though. Props to whoever stole him from Montreal.

You never know with these Goalies. I traded Rittich last year and that's not looking so hot right now. It looks even worse for the team that gave up Mark Stone in the deal and then decided to let Rittich walk as a UFA though lol.

Ha ha.  I just like to rub salt in wounds.  I agree Binnington was a long shot.  I actually disagree that he played himself out of the position.  He always put up good numbers at the AHL, it was just that Jake Allen was seen as their future.

He has yet to be drafted in our 2011 redraft, and he is also showing up as drafted twice in the same draft here. Man of mystery.

Binnington is in Florida's MiLR along with Demko, Bibeau, Nedeljkovic, Vladar, Fitzpatrick, Dylan Wells and long time farm hand Jack Campbell.

Snugerud's former FNHL team seems to be healthy and competing for the Division title again this year.

With Murray bouncing back in the 2nd half , should give him a good shot.

San Jose wants to get closer to the pack in the Pacific. I feel we're a few players short of locking up a Wildcard spot after a slow start to the season.

I can take a shot at predicting the future for the Atlantic.

:DET-NHL: RedWings #1
Good owner.
Actively managed team.
Mainly adds. Very little subtraction here.
Seems to be perennial contender in the Atlantic.
Has plenty of 1st round draft picks to use to build his team now and in the future.

:BOS-NHL: Bruins #2
Good owner.
Winning history with 2 championships.
Core of roster still in place.

:MON-NHL: Canadiens #3
Active and relatively new motivated owner.
Has all the right pieces to compete and win this year.

:TOR-NHL: Maple Leafs #4
Good active owner.
Hellebuyck might carry team.
Blueline might lack depth.
Plenty of scoring up front to challenge for Top 3 finish, easily in mix for Wildcard.

:TBL: Lightning #5
Active owner.
Evolving roster.
Blueline might lack experience.
MiLR being rebuilt.
If Cory Schneider plays approx 50 games TB bumps up to Top 3.
Huge trade for Tavares to compliment Stamkos.

:BUF-NHL: Sabres #6
Active owner.
Continuing rebuilding project started in 2017-18.
Some good prospects on the MiLR.
If Tristan Jarry and Thatcher Demko get semi-regular NHL PT, watch out!

:OTT: Senators #7
Well managed team.
Thin on the W.
D lacks depth.
Lots of good prospects in the MiLR.
Recently landed a 1B goalie in Kinkaid.
Darkhorse to climb into a Wildcard spot by mid-season.
