Buffalo's trade with Calgary

Send to :CLG:
Cam Ward, $6.2m (2015-2019)
Brandon Pirri, $0.5m (2017-2019)
Joseph Blandisi, $0.2m (2017-2019)
Ryan Haggerty, $0.2m (2017-2019)

Coming to :BUF-NHL3:
Evgeny Kuznetsov, $7.1m (2016-2020)
Matt Beleskey, $1.5m (2017-2020)
T.J. Brennan, $0.2m (2016-2018)
Minor league Prospect RW - T.J. Tynan (2011: 3/66 - 0 Games)
Round 3 - 2018 BUF

Buffalo makes this deal to unload some bodies and a vet Goalie seeing less time for some young guns to replenish the Sabres. The key for me is Kuznetsov, kid has another gear or two in him. We threw in Pirri, Blandisi and Haggerty to clear roster space for the players coming back our way. Thanks DTox! :toast:

Calgary Flames pleased to confirm this trade with our Atlantic Division counterpart. We are getting a 33yo backup with the ability to steal more starts over the next couple of seasons. Not easy to part ways with Kuznetsov, one of my favourite players but I still have Benn and Scheifele to lead the crew to lead the way.

:iatp: Ward and a bag of pucks for Kuznetsov & some young talent. Not bad.

I assume that Buffalo is getting Calgary's 3rd round pick and not it's own.
