SOLD ($150) - BUFFALO SABRES sold to TheBeef

[PigsRule]

Burkes Boys sells off one of his 3 franchises.
Where's The Beef, apparently in BUFFALO!

To ALL Franchise NHL owners, please WELCOME the newest owner to the BEST fantasy hockey league with 31 teams anywhere TheBeef.

Buffalo's new owner is a veteran hockey commissioner who just wants to play hard now. He bought a good franchise with a talented core of players that's really only had two principle owners, Mariner & Burkes Boys. The team also has lots of talent down on the farm to work with.

Any questions, please ask us via PM or post in the Questions thread you already found.
You can choose to rename your Minor league team. :toast:

As we like to say in FNHL, "Have fun & try to win our money!" :win:

BIG WELCOME TO THE BEEF, FNHL'S NEWEST OWNER.

Great to see another commissioner joining us.
Watch out for the FNHL Sharks... Indiansnation will be talking trade with you soon. Watch out for the owners who are sharks (as Dazfoster mentioned).

Your team can go over the cap & roster limit by 10% during the off-season... BUT watchout - 1 wk bwfore the season starts when the restrictions go back into effect.

Any Qs, feel free to ask away.

Certainly a big league with what appears to be many knowledgeable owners. Still sizing up value of my franchise's players and market value. Hope to get on the phone taking trade tonight.

Thanks again everyone for the welcome!

Call me first (Vegas/Tampa)
I'm gentle.

The rest of these guys I would wait a month or so. They really took advantage of me when I started.

And called me names, insulted my favorite colors etc.

PM Daddy and you can't go wrong.

I have to say the group here is First Class. The welcome has been terrible.

Nothing better than competing with other knowledgeable hockey guys.  I've tried leagues where Commissioners claim to have a real setup and a true sense of the big league experience then I look at the rules and the league starts 2 goalies nightly, I've even seen leagues that use 3 nightly.

I am here because this league appears well established, active, good variety of owners, salary cap, Minor league, and deep 31 team setup.

I only had to take one look at the Deadlines page to confirm the guys running Franchise NHL are on the ball and love fantasy hockey, actually love hockey - period!

Excellent news. Amazing excitement building up  in the Atlantic Division as we inch closer to the start of the 2017-18 FNHL season.
Welcome to FNHL, TheBeef!

Thanks. I was absolutely thrilled to see how well stocked the Buffalo Sabres minor league system was with the likes of, well just about everyone.

Because of the wealth of prospect talent in Buffalo, I felt comfortable dealing Sam Steel to plug a key hole up front. If not for depth down on the farm, I would've listed Steel as an untouchable.

However, a player we will not deal or discuss is Thatcher Demko! He's key to our talent pipeline. Can't imagine the cost to buy him back if I did trade him.

Welcome from the 2016-17 Champion, Bruins!!!

I'd like to rename my farm team the NEW ENGLAND WHALERS

Really like the retro logo. I even watched a few games featuring Gordie when I was a kid. It was Howe's final season in '80.

Thanks guys!

Nice choice.
Any chance you chose the Buffalo franchise because of the Whalers/Hurricanes connection and Darling and Ward both being Canes goaltenders?
