NJ and Detroit Trade

[izaman3]

To Detroit
Rd 1 pick 20. :NJD:  (from :CHI-NHL:; originally :NYR:)

To New Jersey
Brett Connolly, $1.5m (2016-2019)

It's a pretty simple and straight up swap. Connolly has yet to live up to his draft position, but he is still young at 25. He may be able to work himself into the Capital's top 6 with MoJo being traded to the real life Devils. Combine that with his relatively cheap cap hit and I may lose this deal in the near future, but I'm really happy to pick up the first rounder.

Everyone knows I love draft picks and always try to draft a strong farm system. I've got some guys who should be moving up the the big club soon, so this helps me clear roster/cap space, and add to the farm.

Thanks for the deal jojo!

NJD confirms. Taking a chance on a still young RW to reach his potential. Nice dealing with you izaman. Good luck
