CHI-NYR Blockbuster. MacKinnon goes to Broadway!

[PsychoticPondGoons]

Hawks make a deal with the Rangers to strengthen our blueline while adding a veteran winger plus some pieces for the future.

Trading away a former 1st Overall draft pick in MacKinnon (and he's only 21yo) is easier when you get a good package that addresses your team's needs. Of course this is the kind of deal that can easily come back to haunt a team. :puke: Hoping that's not the case here.

TO Hawks :CHI-NHL:
Matt Moulson, $1.3m (2016-2018)
Nick Leddy, $4.6m (2015-2018)
Round 1 - 2017  (from :NYR:)
LW - Anthony Beauvillier (2015: 1/28 - 41 Games)

TO Rangers :NYR:
Nathan MacKinnon, $6.6m (2016-2020)
Xavier Ouellet, $0.8m (2016-2017-EL)  Can't resign until after FNHL Finals
Round 4 - 2017  (from :CHI-NHL:*; via :FLO:; originally :LAK:)

NYR/BB to confirm. :toast:

:thumbsup::iatp: :NYR: Rangers confirm. We wanted to deal for an elite scorer that could help us now and for many yrs to come so we pitched our best offer to Chicago to get Nathan to NY. I'm assuming PPG is a closet Isls fan for accepting this package. Thanks for the trade PPG. GL with you team.
