I signed Darcy to a 4 year 24M extension back in 2014. He is still an injury or trade away from being a productive player, but he is a back-up. Minnesota was a natural fit, as they can save 1.5M on that contract. That makes it much more reasonable. Certainly better than no G, which is what Edmonton is left with.
From the additions, I add 2 solid prospects IMO, neither with high upside, but both should be serviceable players, a little further away for Lindgren. Also, I receive a 2nd round pick from :EDM: . Now, that is betting on yourself.
:EDM: main addition here is from a cap standpoint though. They clear 6M next year and 2.6M now. Yeah, we have no G, but I only need one when the rest of the team is aligned to win. I wish it was this year, as this year is some high stakes. Big :money:
