Sens and Predators Complete Major Trade

[dickiedunn]

With apologies to our counterpart in Nashville for the delay, Ottawa management is pleased to announce a major trade with the Predators one that we hope will change the present course of our on-ice performance immediately.

Traded to OTT
Round 1 - 2017 NASHVILLE
Round 4 - 2017 NASHVILLE
Logan Couture, $5.8m (2013-2017)
Ryan Ellis, $3.0m (2015-2018)
Dylan DeMelo, $0.3m (2015-2017)

Traded to NSH
Lauri Korpikoski, $0.9m (2015-2017)
Matt Read, $1.5m (2015-2018)
Eric Gryba, $2.0m (2015-2018)
Minor leaguer C - Brayden Point (2014: 3/79 - 10 Games)
Minor leaguer D - Jakob Chychrun (2016: 1/16 - 8 Games)

As Burke stated, a "Monster Deal!" Ottawa likes this trade as it brings in two impressive players who we feel have underperformed thus far this season in Couture and Ellis. The first and 4th Round Draft picks are also of great value to our organization.

:iatp: Big deal. Pending BB's approval for NSH. Seems to work for both sides.

No problem DD. It's fantasy hockey.

:NAS: Preds are here to confirm.
Trading away star players to add scoring on our 2nd and 3rd lines. Also keeping an eye on the immediate future of our club with the specs coming back. It all started last summer when the Sens asked about Ryan Ellis. Here we are 3 months later.

Nashville traded their 4th Pick to Vancouver so Preds either trade their 3rd or the 3rd pick they got from Vancouver to the Sens. BB to offer. DD to confirm they accept the change.

Going to give trades at least 2 days on the big board before processing. :judge:

Burke still needs to get back to us on this matter of traded Picks. :judge:
