BJs get Prospect Goalie & veteran Carter from LA.

[PsychoticPondGoons]

7.2m in salary coming to Columbus :CLS:
Jeff Carter, $6.2m (2013-2017)
Jean-Francois Berube, $1.0m (2015-2017)

7.4m in salary going to LaLaLand :LAK:
Mikko Koivu, $1.5m (2016-2019)
Jackub Voracek, $5.9m (2015-2019)
D - Nikita Tryamkin (2014: 3/66 - 0 Games)

I'm excited to get Jeff Carter to my Jackets & add a potential starting goalie who's going to get a shot real soon with the Islanders or another club. Berube has great potential and I hope I'm buying low before his career takes off. There's a premium to pay for good prospect goalies and I'm glad to cough up for this one.

Straightfwd trade talk with DD. Thx!

Columbus inquired about the availability of our young goalies and I wanted to spread the scoring a little and felt parting company with Jeff Carter would serve us best. Although we would love to retain all our young netminders, the reality is the Expansion Draft has put us in a position to part company willingly or by force so we chose the former to address areas of potential improvement.

I didn't expect Berube to go for so little, but I get why LA does this and its a good return.

:iatp: I feel the same as Izamn3. Of course everyone values players differently and that what makes trades in FNHL interesting.
