I thought we agreed that all contracts start the following year, not at the end of a contract?
I thought in this thread that is what we were agreeing to. Not that it matters, but if I was confused on the subject maybe someone else was as well.http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=23779.20I still think that the contract should start the following year just based solely on the fact that someone could sign a player for 5 years, then sign him for another 5 years after that, what's the point in having a ceiling? There is no stipulation on that. Plus I know myself, plus I believe Ben and Howe were all for consistency on all extensions, not just prospect and decreased player value.
omg? What are you a 18 year old girl sending a text? He can extend kinsle, which then takes hold in 2012 correct? Then in 2012 he can give him another 5 year extension starting at the end of his most recent extension...is that not feasable?
In 2012, he can give a one year-extension through 2017... that's about it. Thanks Roy posting the rule... and yes, I am an 18-year old girl texting you Dan. That keeps you safe from the show "To Catch a Predator", right?
