Hawks Pull Trigger on Deal with Flames

[PsychoticPondGoons]

Hawks answered a call this AM and said what the hell, let's see what sticks if we throw a few players at the Flames. We offered up Reimer to Calgary who own Bernier who's hurt. Lots of chatting on Fantrax and she's done.

Traded to Flames
G James Reimer, $8.0m (2014-2019)
D Fedor Tyutin, $2.4m (2014-2017)
C Jordan Nolan, $0.5m (2015-2017)
LW Lucas Lessio, $0.2m (2015-2017)
Round 4 - 2016 (from :CHI-NHL:)

Traded to Hawks
G Anders Lindback, $1.8m (2013-2016)
C Mika Zibanejad, $3.8m, (2013-2016)
LW Cody McLeod, $0.5m (2014-2016)
D Niklas Hjalmarsson, $2.6m (2014-2017)
D - Klas Dahlbeck (2011: 3/79 - 0 Games)
D - Erik Gustafsson (2012: 4/93 - 0 Games)

We also switched underperforming D in Hjalmarsson and Tyutin.
We're selling high with James Reimer and feel we got a good package as compensation. Starting goalies don't fall off trees.

JD/ :CLG: to confirm.

:iatp: Flames confirm Reimer is coming to Calgary. Bernier is crap this yr and my Flames need agoalie that can win so we tossed a few players at Chicago to get the deal done. We can afford to part with Zibby who is up for a big extension. Cody is a sell high player. Everyone else can be replaced.

Reimer's value jumped when Bernier sucked to start the season then pulled a Niklas Backstrom by getting hurt. Good deal for Calgary.
