Hawks Deal with Buffalo to Shed Cap

[PsychoticPondGoons]

Hawks pull the trigger on a deal to shed cap while staying competitive.

Trade to Hawks
LW Jonathan Drouin, $0.2m (2015-2017)
C Jay Beagle, $0.2m (2014-2016)
LW Brandon Bollig, $1.1m (2014-2016)

Trade to Patrick Kaneville AKA Buffalo
LW Scott Hartnell, $4.5m (2013-2016)
G Niklas Backstrom, $0.5m (2015-2017)
Round 2 - 2016 (from :PHI-NHL: *)
Round 2 - 2016 (form :CHI-NHL:)

We're get Johnny Drouin while giving up Harts and Nikky! A Top 3 superstar LW AND a Goalie for a future super star. We tossed in the pair of 2nd Round 2016 Draft Picks because Burke insisted. Hawks also save 3.5m.

Happy to make this deal and slam the door on another cough cough offer. LOL
Suck it Panthers!  :rofl::rofl::rofl::taco::taco::taco:

Burke to confirm.
Good doing business with you BB!  :toast:

:BUF-NHL3: Sabres confirm!
Love the picks. Sabres need to restock the cupboard.
Hartnell is the centerpiece of this trade. He's fantasy gold.
Adding another Goalie is never a bad idea in this league unless it's Ilya Bryzgalov.
Niklas Backstrom is a great bargaining chip for future moves.
We're making moves to improve in Buffalo.
Thanks PPG!

Huge win to Chicago here. Hartnell is good but getting old, and Backstrom probably won't play again. At least Buffalo is getting some solid draft picks.

:iatp: Cats GM doesnt care if the Chicago GM went with another offer. Good for the Blackhawks for digging themselves out of a hole. Now lets see if you have a winning team after 84games.
