Giants - Reds Waiver Trade 8/12/15 2:36 pm ET

[Flash]

Reds trade:
OF Solarte, Yangervis, $1.5m (2016)

Giants trade:
OF Morse, Mike, $2m (2015)
X-OF Morse, Mike, $0.5m in 2015, Cash Exchange

The Giants and Reds have agreed to this trade after a series of negotiations via PM.  Giants gain a player who provides some flexibility on a team friendly contract.  Reds get some cap relief to use in Free Agency in 2016.

Reds to confirm.

Edit Note:  Both players have passed through waivers.

48 hour window has passed, trade approved based on the following rule:

•   If the 48 hour time period passes, the trade will be ruled valid if it receives at least two approvals.  This will be viewed as a process of a simple majority (2 approvals vs. 1 veto), since two vetoes would automatically stop a trade.
