Sounds to me like the next tough hurdle will be the timing of the implementation for these proposed new rules.  As far as I know, only the Prince Fielder rule has definitely been decided as going into effect immediately.

I think we need a summary of what the rules turned out to be and have everyone sign off, then work on the timing.  We may decide we need to argue over exceptions and what not, but lets get the progress we've made solidified.

Honestly, once the votes are tallied, I think they should go into effect instantly. Just so we have some consistency moving forward. Plus if problems arise from a rule we can handle it sooner than later (see prospect extensions). That could have been taken care of last off-season, and everyone would have known where they stand.

That's fine with me.  I was under the impression that certain new rules like allowing market discounts for prospects who sign after the season might have to wait until next year, but all the better if it all happens now.  I don't want to go through this again next year!

Passing #3 should reduce most of the negative impact of any new rules, since teams that expected to do something on next years books during the offseason can do it now... I'm not ready to commit to saying yes to all immediately until we have a concise summary of what all the modified changes are, but I can't think of anything I'm opposed to implementing immediately (assuming #3 is immediate).

Agreed, but I think as soon as everything is signed off on, it should go into effect. Again, rather than wait a year for problems to arise, it is best to let it play sooner than later.
