Round 1 - 2015 (from :LAK:; through :SJ:; originally :CHI-NHL:)

Los Angeles management has spent the past month working on completing this trade with our Chicago counterpart. Many moving parts to this complex deal that addresses present and future needs.

We had been shopping Benn and Khudobin separately but when Chicago asked about both we built upon that interest and inquired about Carter and Luongo's availability.

There was a great deal of negotiating as this impacts the core of our respective teams. However I believe both teams get what they need from this trade.

Chicago to confirm. Thank-you for your patience PPG!

Hawks definitely CONFIRM!

Ladies and gentlemen the newest members of the Chicago Blackhawks! JAMIE BENN AND KRIS LETANG

I would've made the deal with just those 2.  Don't tell DD. LOL
The goalies and 1st rd pick are all icing man!
Pure icing on my Benn/Letang cake!  :taco: :taco: :taco:
The cherry gents? The cherry is reuniting Khudobin with Cam Ward.

I'm losing a 36yo goalie and my man Carter but will find another C to fill the gap he left behind.

BENN 25yo superstar.
LETANG 28yo stud.

Send the Cup to Chicago baby!  :win:

:iatp: I don't see anything wrong with it.

Letang is unavailable for comment ... still waking up from Doan's hit.

[Burkes Boys]

Damn. That's like a dark roast coffee blend. BOLD!
Does DD know they won a championship with that team.

I'd like me some of that championship pie. :iatp:

[PigsRule]

:iatp: I think LA made a good trade here moving an expiring deal while adding a starting goalie albeit a guy who's 36 years old but also getting good depth on the blueline.

This is a big one and a great deal for both teams. If Letang can stay healthy, I'd definitely want that side of the trade.
