VOID (CANCELED) Sens and Avs Complete a Trade

[dickiedunn]

Trade canceled.

Ottawa management have come to terms on a trade with the Colorado Avalanche.

Traded to Avalanche
D Dan Boyle, $4.7m (2013-2016)

Traded to Senators
C Nick Bjugstad, $2.8m (2014-2017)

Dan Boyle will qualify for an extension with a hometown discount worth $3.9 Million, a very cap friendly salary for an All-star defenseman in the twilight of his career. We acquire a young player who ended the season on the IR after undergoing back surgery. Never a phrase management wants to hear however Bjugstad is worth the risk.

Negotiations were quick and aggressive. We wish Boyle well with his new franchise.

SlackJack and the Avalanche to confirm.

Oh wait. Is this the lullaby thread or the fairy-tale thread?

Dear god Dickie you couldn't have been serious with that ridiculous offer.
Certainly I wasn't in my reply: "Oh why not....I kind of hate myself today anyway." should have read as sarcasm buddy.

No matter....now we both know each other a little better eh?

Ah. A comedian. No. Unfortunately I did not realize you were wasting a PM on humor.

My mistake posting a trade after reading "post it!"

Your mistake indeed. I would thank you not to try and low-ball me like that again.

If this was a misunderstanding wouldn't it have been more of a pro move to PM Ottawa to pull down the post Slack?

Just saying.

I find it odd you are trying to label this a "fleece" and complain about reading comprehension yet you sent a PM that stated "Oh why not ... Go ahead and post it!"

A "fleece" would be taking advantage of an individual who is disadvantaged in some manner. I certainly understand how this qualifies as such. Say no more.

I guess you weren't watching the chat, he clearly wasn't leaning towards hurry up and post it now!

You guys are funny!

SlackJack. Guy. What is this. Out of character for you.

Say No next time in your PM discussions.
This is negotiating in bad faith.
Also name calling is reserved for school playgrounds.

How many PMs did you two owners exchange to created this train wreck?

Let's not bother. This is wasting everyone's time and completely unproductive IMO which is what really matters around here.  :judge:
