Boston's top F has been Lucic (7.25pts), their top D Beauchemin (5.5pts) and Rask has been the best G (25.0pts) while it's been F B.Schenn (15.0pts), D Regehr (8.85pts) and Quick in G (17.25pts) leading the way for LA thru 1-wk.

:iatp:

Los Angeles management would like to believe the roster was built to compete and win this year.

Come 2015-16, we may not be in such an enviable position with numerous contracts of key players set to expire and either necessitating large sums of money if we are to retain those players' service for the foreseeable future or we will have to prepare for the start of the Kings' rebuilding era.

Los Angeles will be patient.

Of interest is the fact we have fewer man games remaining relative to Boston. It remains to be seen whether quantity prevails over quality or vice versa in the final six days.

the shifting cap ceiling makes it that much more challenging to keep a contender intact more than 2 yrs.
